One of Atiku Abubakar’s advocates said the opposition presidential candidate will appeal the presidential election petition tribunal’s decision which was delivered on Wednesday.
Brookinfo collected that Mr Abubakar’s petition and his party, PDP, were rejected by the election petition court on Wednesday.
The tribunal’s five-member panel unanimously ruled that the petition be discarded, saying that the plaintiffs did not prove them beyond reasonable doubt.
Speaking on the judgement, Mike Ozekhome, one of the lawyers representing the petitioners, said they would “challenge the ‘misevaluation’ of critical evidence in the judgement.”
“That we’re appealing to the Supreme Court is as certain as death,” Mr Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said.
